St. Joseph loses in overtime...
Marshall’s talented duo of Mike Stovall and Ryan Hare put on an impressive display of aerial acrobatics in the No. 3 Commandos 71-38 win over No. 4 Thornwood.
Stovall (21 points) had six dunks in the game, four coming off assists from Hare (14 points).
Marshall led 31-17 at the half and opened the third quarter with a 23-4 run.
Stovall, who is an academic qualifier, is following in the footsteps of Patrick Beverley. Just as Beverley did last year, Stovall is performing like the best uncommitted senior in the state.
Sophomore Darius Smith scored 11 points for the Commandos (2-0). Reggie Hamilton led Thornwood (5-1) with 19 points.
In other action, Lincoln Park beat Arlington (Ind.) in Indianapolis, Thornton beat Evanston and No. 2 St. Joseph lost in overtime to Milwaukee Vincent at the Gentile Center.
