Dwight McCombs leads Young over H-F

Dolphins win 62-53...

The Vikings had no answer for Young’s 6-7 center Dwight McCombs (15 points, nine rebounds).

“The clock has started ticking and he knows this is his last year,��? Young coach Tyrone Slaughter said. “I think that’s a large part of why he’s found his focus.��?

McCombs had three slams in the game, one on an alley-oop pass from sophomore Chris Colvin (11 points).

The Dolphins took control 12-4 run midway through the third quarter.

A. J. Rompza scored 15 for Young and Bryan Hall added seven.

Kevin Dillard led the Vikings with 10 points and James Jackson added eight points and eight rebounds.
