Locals picked for Marine all-star game

Six rising senior football stars from the Chicago area have been selected to play in the inaugural Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps and scheduled for Jan. 3, 2012 in Phoenix.

The picked six are Simeon offensive lineman Jordan Diamond, Lake Forest Academy defensive end Faith Ekakitie, Joliet Catholic running back Malin Jones, Bolingbrook linebacker Antonio Morrison, Carmel running back Mike Panico and Crete-Monee defensive back Anthony Standifer.

The game will be televised live on the CBS College Sports Network.

Montini WR Jordan Westerkamp was also picked to play in the US Marines game by Tom Lemming on Thursday July 7th. Congrats to Jordan!
