Growing up and saying good-bye

Thousands of Harry Potter fans have grown up reading the series. An example is Candice Dobson. When she was 9 years old she read "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.” Now in her mid-teens, she has read and re-read all the books and has been involved in a mix of Potter activities through the years. She says she’s "utterly addicted."

Potter mania is not restricted to kids. Adults, even famous ones, are not ashamed to admit they love Harry. They plan to keep the Kleenex handy while reading “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” Eloquent in his send-off is best-selling author Stephen King. “When it comes to Harry, part of me — a fairly large part, actually — can hardly bear to say goodbye.”
