Election Day deals, freebies

Want something more than the satisfaction of democracy when you vote tomorrow? Of course you do - this is America, after all. Here are some additional deals and freebies to warm your patriotic hearts:

Half-price car rental: Zipcar is offering 50% off on hourly rates from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 6. There is no requirement to vote. See Zip to the Polls for more information.

Free fries: White Castle is asking America to weigh in on their favorite kind of fries. Customers can either show their 'I voted' sticker to receive a small Sweet Potato Waffle Fry with a purchase at any White Castle location, or vote on the restaurant's Facebook page for either Sweet Potato or Crinkle Cut fry to get a coupon.

Free food: Buca di Beppo is offering coupons for a free lunch item with purchase of a lunch item, $5 off a Famiglia Meal, or $10 off a Deluxe Famiglia Meal. The coupons are only valid on Election Day. See their website to print out coupons.

Free flight sweepstakes: JetBlue is holding an Election Protection 2012 sweepstakes for the chance to win a free flight. To play, vote either Democrat or Republican in the airline's online poll, select a travel destination, and then submit your registration form. If the party you selected loses the election, you will be entered to win the sweepstakes. Winners will be selected November 7.

Free taxi ride: On-demand car and taxi service Uber will give you a free ride to your polling place on Tuesday. To place your taxi request, enter the promo code 'VOTECHI,' select the 'TAXI' option in Uber's iPhone or Android app (or via and your cab will arrive in minutes. Starbucks will give you a free 12-ounce coffee. They will give the coffee to anyone who asks for it.

Krispy Kreme will give you a free star-shaped doughnut decorated with red and blue sprinkles

Ben & Jerry's (5pm-8pm) will give you a free scoop of ice cream

Chick-fil-A will give you a free chicken sandwich with an "I Voted" sticker

Shanes Rib Shack will give you a free Vote America Meal with an "I Voted" sticker

White Castle will give you a free sweet potato waffle-cut fries with purchase + "I Voted" sticker
Daily Grill will give you a free appetizer with an "I Voted" sticker

Chick-Fil-A free sandwhich with "I voted" is either a urban legand or in the true spirit of the end of the campaign season, a promise made that was not delivered. :(
