Transcript, video: President Obama jokes at the Alfred E. Smith dinner

President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney poked gentle but sharp fun at themselves and each other for a charitable cause Thursday night, two days after more serious attacks on each other in their second debate.

Obama guested on "The Daily Show" earlier in the evening though, ironically, with much less humor in that visit.

SPEAKER: PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
Mitt Romney's transcript can be found here.

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much, thank you. Thank you.

Everyone please take your seats otherwise Clint Eastwood will yell at them.

(LAUGHTER)

Thank you to Al and Nan, your eminence, Governor, Ms. Romney, Governor Cuomo, Mayor Bloomberg, Cassandra Schumer, all the distinguished guests who are here.

In less than three weeks, voters in states like Ohio, Virginia and Florida will decide this incredibly important election, which begs the question, what are we doing here?

(LAUGHTER)

Of course, New Yorkers also have a big choice to make. You have to decide which one of us you want holding up traffic for the next four years.

(LAUGHTER)

Tonight I am here with a man whose father was a popular governor, who knows what it's like to run a major northeaster state and who could very well be president some day and I'm hoping it is Andrew Cuomo.

(APPLAUSE)

This is the third time that Governor Romney have met recently. As some of you may have noticed, I had a lot more energy in our second debate. I felt really well rested after the nice long nap I had in the first debate.

(APPLAUSE)

Although it turns millions of Americans focused in on the second debate who didn't focus in on the first debate and I happen to be one of them. I particularly want to apologize to Chris Matthews. Four years ago, I gave him a thrill up his leg; this time around, I gave him a stroke.

Of course, there's a lot of things I learned from that experience, for example, I learned that there are worse things that can happen to you on your anniversary than forgetting to buy a gift.

(LAUGHTER)

So, take note gentlemen.

Now, win or lose, this is my last political campaign so I'm trying to drink it all in. Unfortunately Mayor Bloomberg will only let me have 16 ounces.

(LAUGHTER)

That's OK. I'm still making the most of my time in the city. Earlier today I went shopping at some stores in Midtown. I understand Governor Romney went shopping for some stores in Midtown.

(LAUGHTER)

And it brought back some great memories because some of you know I went to school here in New York, had a wonderful experience here.

(APPLAUSE)

I used to love walking thought Central Park, love to go to old Yankee Stadium, the house that Ruth built although he really did not build that. I hope everybody's aware of that.

(APPLAUSE)

It's been four years since I was last at the Al Smith dinner. You'll have to admit some things have changed since then.

I've heard some people say, Barack, you're not as young as you used to be, where's that golden smile? Where that pep in your step and I say, settle down Joe, I'm trying to run a cabinet meeting.

(LAUGHTER)

He does smile when he says it, though.

Tomorrow it's back to campaigning and to the cities and towns across our great country and I hear the same thing everywhere I go. Honestly we were hoping to see Michelle.

(LAUGHTER)

And I have to admit, it can be a grind. Sometimes it feels like this race has dragged on forever, but Paul Ryan assured me that we've only been running for two hours and fifty something minutes.

(LAUGHTER)

Of course, the economy's on everybody's minds. The unemployment rate is at its lowest level since I took office. I don't have a joke here, I just thought it'd be useful to remind everybody...

(APPLAUSE)

... that the unemployment rate is at the lowest it's been since I took office. And we're getting to that time when folks are making up their minds. Just the other day, Honey Boo Boo endorsed me. So that's a big relief.

(LAUGHTER)

Ultimately, though, tonight's not about the disagreements Governor Romney and I may have. It's what we have in common, beginning with our unusual names. Actually Mitt is his middle name, I wish I could use my middle name.

(LAUGHTER)

And even though we're enjoying ourselves tonight, we're both thinking ahead of our final debate on Monday. I'm hoping that Governor Romney and I will have a chance to answer the question that is one the minds of millions Americans watching at home. Is this happening again?

(LAUGHTER)

Why aren't they putting on "The Voice?"

And Monday's debate is a little different because the topic is foreign policy. Spoiler alert, we got Bin Laden.

(APPLAUSE)

Of course, world affairs are a challenge for every candidate. After -- some of you guys remember -- after my foreign trip in 2008, I was attacked as a celebrity because I was so popular with our allies overseas. And I have to say I'm impressed with how well Governor Romney has avoided that problem.

(LAUGHTER)

And just so everyone knows in our third debate, that we won't spend a whole of time interrupting each other. We will also interrupt the moderator, just to mix things up.

(LAUGHTER)

And finally, let me say that I've been doing some thinking, and I've decided that for our final debate, I'm going to go back to the strategy that I used to prepare for the first debate.

(LAUGHTER)

I'm just kidding. I'm trying to make Axelrod sweat a little bit.

(LAUGHTER)

Get him a little nervous.

(LAUGHTER)

In all seriousness, I couldn't be more honored to be here this evening. I'm honored to be here with leaders of both the private and public sectors, and particularly the extraordinary work that is done by the Catholic church. You know it's written in scripture...

(APPLAUSE)

...it's written in scripture that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character, and character hope. This country has fought through some very tough years together. And while we still have a lot of work ahead, we've come as far as we have mainly because of the perseverance and character of ordinary Americans. And it says something about who we are as a people that in the middle of a contentious election season, opposing candidates can share the same stage. People from both parties can come together.

(APPLAUSE)

Come together to support a worthy cause. And I particularly want to thank Governor Romney for joining me because I admire him very much as a family man, and a loving father. And those are two titles that will always matter more than any political ones.

(APPLAUSE)

So...

(APPLAUSE)

...we may have different political perspectives, but I think, in fact I'm certain, that we share the hope that the next four years will reflect the same decency, and the same willingness to come together for a higher purpose that are on display this evening. May we all, in the words of Al Smith, "Do our full duty as citizens." God bless you, God bless your families, and may God bless the United States of America. Thank you very much.

(APPLAUSE)

oooh wheee i got it i got it and i got to report it.....democrats are stuuuuupid.

Romney was great last night. Obama has destroyed enough the last four years. His spin on his record is appalling. Forbid him another four years to suck the hopes and dreams out of the American people. For you Obama supporters - to you does his record matter, does it matter so many are miserable, out of work, on food stamps, unemployed, under-employed, that we are bankrupt? If you were voting for a CEO as a shareholder of a company would you really put him back at the head? On paper - he has absolutely no qualifications to be doing what he's doing. He doesn't understand, nor appreciate what it takes to start a business. Sure he may be a great family man, nice, and make a great speech, but his policies and his politics are destructive. Fast and Furious, Solyndra, Fiskars auto, Medicare Advantage scandal, Benghazi, and the media continues to cover for his failures and his corruption.
Mitt Romney successfully pulled many business back from the brink - staples, baskin robbins to name a few. He pulled the bankrupted Olympics back, he balanced Mass's budget, he was a pastor (in not a hate filled) for his his church. He has served his fellow man well and worked his tail off to get where he is today. No comparison. Not even close. Obama can go back to community agitating.

Four and done.

Funny hearing all the sheeples in the audience ,maa maa maa ......

He actually seemed likable with this speech.

I don't support Obama....but that was funny.... Sigh.... I wish times were'n't so serious....

Obama does really well, when he's reading a scripted speach off his note cards or his teleprompter. Having a staff figure out what to say in order to get a punchline is quite helpful, or so I'm told. Too bad nobody built a script for him that tells him how to run a country. Can't wait for him to submit his change of address postcard with the USPS!

Yawn. Barry can follow a script well. His policies, his record, and his agenda interest (and spook) me FAR MORE.

Obama seemed likeable, that has never been an issue for most people. He didnt really seem to be enjoying himself and his smiles almost seemed forced. Romney definately had the better speech writer and his delivery seemed much more fluid, natural and funny. If this were a competition Romney won hands down.

Watch the Romney speech - much better

I thought it mature of both of them to be civil with each other at this event. Even though i'm not a supporter of our current president I see why his likability is as high as it is. Seems like he'd be a decent enough guy to have a beer summit with even if I don't want him as president. I like Romney too but for what it's worth I don't want Mr. Romney as president either. I'm voting libertarian as I did in 2008.

An America-hating, Constitution-killing communist street thug from Kenya. What's not to like? Bye, bye, Bolshevik!!!

For the record, I support Mitt Romney for President. I must say the President and Mitt Romney were very funny. Nice healthy jabs at themselves and each other, very refreshing after such an contentious election. I do not support President Obama whatsoever but I do wish him a nice wealthy life in the private sector when he is defeated November 6th. VOTE ROMNEY/RYAN!

yes,Obama can be likeable. He can be so likeable he fooled a lot of people into voting for him the first time around, and is doing the same thing to almost as many today.

The problem is that running the USA and a large part of the world is not about popularity contests. This is the biggest business in history, and it needs people with business acumen to run it as such. Obama has never sucessfully run anything in his life, including the last four years. He got his chance. Now the world knows that the USA is not at all afraid of electing mixed racial leaders. It's time for us to move on, and give someone better suited a shot at it. We literally cannot afford four more years of this Robin Hood election promise approach. Steal from the rich and give to the poor?

Is that the way to run the worlds largest business? how long do you think it will stay in business with that philosophy?

So why doesn't this article include Romney's talk? Why only Hussein's and his picture? Why is Hussein's talk given here first and then only a link to Romney's? Could it be that Mr. Newman suffers from the same disease the rest of the lamestream media suffers; LEFTWING BIAS? Yep, that must be the reason.

I find it funny that this article/transcript and the article linked...both basically ignore Romney's comments completely. We obviously know who your newspaper is rooting for.... sheesh. At least TRY to be balanced.

President Obama was funny. Take the moment for what it is ... a time to put partisanship aside and laugh.

Funny you would feature the flat, same ole, same ole transcript of Obama's speech. Romney's was hilarious and creative and much more dynamic. The writing is on the wall. "Brought to you by the letter "O", and the number 16 Trillion. LOLLOLLOL

I have voted in many elections in my life. My first vote was for John F Kennedy in 1960, but this is the first election, in which I have ever voted, where the choice will be between freedom and Socialism for the United States of America. I spent a good part of my life in the military trying to help stop the Soviet Union from making our people Communist subjects, but now it looks like a majority of freeloaders, racists, and the greedy Unions in this country are ready to hand it to the World Communist Order on a silver platter. I don't mind telling you that when I think of this election, it scares me more than anything I saw in 22 years of military service, including three tours in Viet Nam, because we are getting ready to lose our country to a corrupt dictatorship. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have the intelligence, ability, and desire to save this country. Please let them. They are good, honest, God-fearing men and will spend their time straightening out the mess that Obama has made, and not playing golf, and taking multi-billion dollar vacations, at taxpayers expense.

If Barrack Hussein Obama comes out on top in the evening of Nov 6 or the early morning of Nov 7, you will be living in a bankrupt, atheistic, Socialist state by 2016, run by an individual who has no use for our Constitution, no use for freedom and democracy, no use for the truth, no morality, no use for the United States of KKK, and you can say good by forever to the home we loved so much. It’s almost gone now. This will be your last chance to save it. I beg of you, please don’t them do this to our children and grandchildren.

If the Obama Administration misrepresented the truth to the America People about the attack on the Libyan embassy, how do you know they are telling you the truth about the form of government you are going to be living under four years from now.

While the P-in-C was somewhat self-effacing, he leaned more toward the Slow Joe Biden performance.
I bet that BHO has to visit his dentist ASAP ...
He was probably gritting his teeth the entire time.
~(Ä)~

What do you know? Barry can be decent. Still votin' for the guy who's proven he can get us out of this mess!!

Both were funny. Romney was better. He has great comic timing. BTW, both transcripts link to each other now.

Drudgetards are amazing. Can you please just come up with one coherent that doesn't contain race, fascism, his birth place of origin, or some other extremist view? It's you idiots that lost the last election for us. Slow down, READ, stop throwing around ridiculous accusations (in a COMEDY article nonetheless) that makes our entire party look stupid, focus on the facts and we'll have a Romney/Ryan Whitehouse. It's not the "lamestream" media that will lose this, it will be you, making us look like extreme as*holes that will sway the middle vote back to Obama. Grow up.

Agreed. It's just too bad his moral compass is so very off kilter. And that he is a Marxist, of course.

To vote for Romney is to vote for the constitution which is what makes us differentf rom all other countries.

I think they both did an excellent job.

Obama is obviously comfortable in the "celebrity" status role.

Romney finally showed he "might" have a sense of humor, or at least can read his script with a relatively good sense of comedic timing, almost as well as Obama can read from his teleprompters.

It was supposed to be a joking relaxing playful night, and both candidates played their parts well. Neither of their remarks there should be used against them in the media as any political fodder, but we saw what the media did with Bush and his speaches at events like these, so expect no less from todays media.

Romney's delivery and timing were perfect, spot on and delivered like a pro. Obama can't help destroying the punch lines with just one more thing. Obama the Destroyer even ruins jokes.

Yawn. Have they started packing?

I support Mitt Romney...and I enjoyed both speeches very much. I don't like Michelle Obama, but I was happy that Mitt Romney concluded with his praise of Obama's family. And Obama seemed to be more down on himself than Mitt was.

Both are very entertaining speakers....when they aren't talking about politics.

I am as conservative as you could be, but he did crack some good one's there. It would be funnier if things were not so serious as far as my family and our income though as well as our neighbors, family and friends. I think he would do best as a celebrity rather than Commander and Chief. Oh and, regardless of your job statistics, we still do NOT have jobs here in Florida and the housing marking is devastated.

You sure you're not a Democrat? If folks want to read and believe and comment on things you don't agree with, who are you to offer derision? Either address the issue with some fact or credible opinion or shut up or change Parties. It's looking like the Dems need all the lock-steppers they can get. Just because they don't "see it your way" doesn't make you superior. If you think your opinions have better basis, offer 'em. If you want to call names and spout labels, go be a Democrat.

No white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberal Dom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass - held to a lower standard - because of the color of his skin.
The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that's when he has his Teleprompters in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth - it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.

This is Incumbent PR 101. Roast yourself, make some jokes at your own expense, yada yada.

Both their comments were well done.
Obama was very likable.
Just think how far he could have gone were he not a democrat.

Comedy is only funny if it has an element of truth in it. Romney's jokes had a boatload of truth in his jokes. He gets bonus points for exposing the media for what they really are through his jokes.

The paper and everyone here doesn't seem to know that it is traditional at the Al Smith dinner to roast yourself mostly and only do light jabs at your opponent. Mr Obama followed the rules for the event but Mr Romney mostly went after the President.

Like normal, the rules don't apply to Mr Romney.

I can see matthews getting that thrill up his leg again - still to nowhere.

Obama was funny Romney was a riot. Obama knows the surge is going against him and whatever they tell you now. In the privacy of a poll booth we will have a new president.

Not bad, really. His timing is quite good. Makes me believe he missed his true calling.

How many times are we going to hear that bin Laden is dead? Maybe the President should take a lesson from the consequences of Achilles bad behavior.

"Brought to you by the letter 'O' and the number $16,000,000,000,000.00".....LOVE IT..and scares the heck out of me...just "happened" to be funny as heck but poignant.

We saw the telegenic, elegant, gracious, charismatic, hilarious and self effacing next President of the United States.

I wonder what he meant when he said that he too would like to be able to use his middle name. WHY?

What is so "likeable" about Obama? The fact that he has added $5 trillion to our National Debt, that he has destroyed our economy, that he has divided this country into "classes" and has set race relations back 50 years? THAT IS LIKEABLE? What in the hell is wrong with you people that you can not see through this horrible, awful man?

Yes. I have to admit that whoever wrote B.O.'s script, this time, did an excellent job of it, comedy-wise, and his 'delivery' was adept, for what it's worth. So, you have to ask, what does all this demonstrate (if anything)? While I'm admittedly impressed that both these men can 'change gears' so dramatically, it begs the question as to just how seriously they take themselves (in B.O.'s case, that's a plus, given his reputation for narcissism) but more importantly, their role, and responsibility, at what has been characterized this extremely important juncture in our nation's history. I concede that everyone likes a good laugh, present company included, and satire happens to be my favorite variety of humor. Still, I fail to understand the 'disconnect' that they are able to evince, at a time when most of the electorate's attention is fixed on the putatively momentous date of November 6th. That would tend to give credence to any one of a number of so-called 'conspiracy theories' about who really 'runs the show' in the world today, but I won't get into that here. As one of my favorite commentators would say: "I'm not accusing anyone of anything...just saying.

.

I couldn't find one funny line in his entire blabbing .....Glad he reminded everyone once again that HE GOT OSAMA!!! We got it, we got it, so are the terrorists who were involved in the massacre in Libya precisely for that reason as they were chanting We are all Osamas, Obama!
However Romney really shined and delivered it tastefully!

Just wondering....WHERE WAS MICHELE OBAMA?! Did I miss something?....but she certainly wasn't sitting beside her husband. Could it be she can't stomach sitting in a room full of Catholics? I don't know but it seems weird.

Wow. Cogent response to a SINGLE poster in the fact of countless other posts that debate policy or even give the president credit for being warm and funny. Personally, I thought he WAS funny, although I thought Mitt Romney was more so.

Man you guys are getting desperate as things tighten. You used to just be shrill, shrieking Kool-Aid drinkers, but now it's almost as if you've lost what small shreds of your minds you had left, and you lash out in every direction at once.

I've believed for awhile now that there are two types of Obama supporters: the misled but good-intentioned Users of the drug pushed by the democrat party, and the complicit, aware, Pushers of the drug, who KNOW what's what behind the scenes.

But I have remembered a third group as the election season churns on . . . The Useful Idiot.

Guess which group you belong to, Chris?

Too bad he didn't include a few Teabagger jokes - oh, wait, Teabaggers are a joke.

Still, it's always entertaining to listen to Teabaggers whose panties are all bunched up - and it'll be even more entertaining the morning of November 7th.

You didn't write that! You didn't write that on your own!

It was funny. This next election will be interesting since the truth leaked out about the last. Do you know why Sarah Palin's bus tour was really canceled last year? Do you know why she stayed 30 miles away from the second debate or chose the death of Steve Jobs to announce that she's not running? Know what leaked out? Sarah Palin isn't in this race and is now dodging the media because too many people know the truth.

Search PalinsDirtyLittleSecret for the BIGGEST cover up in world history before it disappears forever, like democracy..

Comparing the videos of Obama's presentation with Romney's is disasterous to BO. Obama was visibly tense and uncomfortable while Romney was relaxed and obviously having a good time. Most of Obama's bits were met with titters and polite applause. Romney's received gales of laughter and applause. Obama would have been booed of the stage at any comedy club.

You are right. Any post about this. Where was Michelle last nigth ?

What a waste of your vote.

Even ObaMaos jokes were lame. Romney conducted himself not only as a President but looked the part of a Statesman. Well spoken, articulate and spot on with the potpourri of items he beat up on ObaMao with. The best was the water/wine section.
I so look forward to deleting my ObamaNation folders after the riots die down. why else did two different government departments recently purchase 1.2 billion rounds of ammunition? To go duck hunting after the riots?

For Frank Lee. LibTards are a bigger joke, especially one who writes such an asinine comment. Come election day you will be crying in your beer, Libbie.

The media is playing us for fools. They question Romney about why he doesn't provide details for his plan, when he does that all the time (see his website) and they don't report it. They label him flip-flopper when Obama shifts positions more often than Romney does. They don't want Americans to learn about Romney as a more than competent candidate for president. On the other hand, they help Obama cover up his failures such as Fast and Furious, Libya, economic numbers, the results of his policies and programs, etc. If Obama were Bush, we wouldn't be able to escape daily running totals of the deficit and unemployment on the front page. Yet Obama's numbers are far worse!

Read both sides for balanced coverage because it sure doesn't exist in one place and both sides leave stuff out. How can you make an informed opinion on any topic if you only consider one point of view? You can't. Thanks for listening.
www.conservativemormonmom.blogspot.com

WOW! You must be a life long listener of FOX noise. Either you are rich or the rich have you convinced that they want you to be. NOT! They just want the serfs to be grateful for the slivers of meat they throw out into the fields. Hurry up and get yours!

Listen to the first minute and a half. He admitted and confessed that the first debate wasn't even worth his time to fight to win.

Well said...and I think enough of America has had enough and will vote Romney.

President Obama's stellar performance at the Al Smith Dinner last night is proof that somewhere along the way he missed his true calling.

Barak or Mitt, America will still be on its knees until we all learn how to live right and have morals. In the first place our morals is what got us here. You do not expect one man to come dig us out of the mess we are in. As far as wall street is allowed to regulate itself and the so called lobbyist control our economy we will still be in trouble. I hear promises from Barak and Mitt which makes me fringe, they have no control over the market or the economy. Majority of our leaders are like puppets on a string anyway. Wall Street rules America. And when they get in trouble we gladly rescue them, the question is why? Think of the government controlled by a Capone. This is what this is. Honestly Barak with the help of God has helped or recued America from great depression thanks to George Bush and his policies. Mitt is a good business man and I am not against that however as an investor you always try to look for favorible conditions for your investment. We think of a business man rulling America. I only pray that God helps us all.

OK, so I'm undecided and had to watch obth BO and MR's standup to see who I would vote for....if you thought this 10 minute piece was funny, you have watch Romney's and tell me which standup was funniest.

YOU are the extremist and do not belong in this nation.

RACE? There hasn't been one racial comment yet although I haven't read hundreds.

99.9 % of the folks voting AGAINST BO [BO STINKS!] would vote in a heartbeat for REAL black men like Herman Cain or J C Watts or Allen West. But they are real black MEN like like you and your idol, metrosexual weak marxists!

I am 63 years old and was an EXTREME liberal, about like BO [everybody knows about BO] until I realized that liberalism kills and destroys. You are a feeble minded, functional illiterate, like the BIC [Buffoon In Charge] !

Screw Obama. He laughs while the country burns.

Obozo dressing up like a 1 percenter and showing his mug to Catholics, in the wake of his unconstitutional edict requiring the Church to provide contraceptive and/or abortifacient services it deems sinful, are the biggest punchlines of the night.

Gee, it reads funnier than it sounded when he was actually talking. I guess it's all in the timing and delivery.

Notice he talks mainly about himself?

Matt - Bush dumped a ton of bricks on Obama - you act like things were humming along and then suddenly turned to crap after Obama was elected. The reality is that whatever plans Obama had were changed by the meltodown and recession Bush bequeathed to him in October 2008. And if that had happened in Februuary 2009, there is no doubt in my mind that every Republican would be blaming Obama for that too.

The $831,000,000,000 economic “stimulus” that President Obama spearheaded and signed into law requires his administration to release quarterly reports on its effects. But “the most transparent administration in the history of our country” is now four reports behind schedule and has so far not released any reports whatsoever in 2012. Its most recent quarterly report is for the quarter than ended on June 30, 2011.

One wonders how the administration would treat a private citizen who acted like such a scofflaw in response to one of Obama’s principal legislative initiatives. It certainly appears that this administration, which is so very fond of regulating Americans’ lives — witness the 13,000 pages of Obamacare regulations it has already penned — does not hold itself accountable to the same set of rules that it’s so eager to compel the American people to obey.

Chris Matthews in the background. Whenever politics turns into comedy, you can count on that joker to be involved

Honestly, believe or not, I never pay attention to Mr. Obama speech for last 4 years he is in office. I seem have disconnect feeling from him that he always thinks big government is good and create jobs for America through funding to government sectors by using tax money and never generate money back from government sectors. And he insists to increase tax to middle class and rich people in order to balance out the tax money he wastes to Welfare and food stamps for people who do not do anything. Yes, I agree that to provide welfare and food stamps to poor people in case they take opportunity to go to school to get degree for hoping to get a good paying jobs; but most of those who get welfare and food stamps are too lazy. Once they get enough for living day by day, they stop doing anything.....not look for job.....not go to school.....some of their kids will follow their parents' step! I am so disappointed about this! How can American people have bright future buy staying home and wait for welfare money and food stamps each month like this????? If follow Obama's philosophy, the USA government will bankruptcy soon...... Another view is that OBAMA is a lucky man who came in the right time and right place in 2008 running for president... 2012 must not the same as 2008.... American people have a nightmare because of him: I used to go to see doctor and paid my share only $10 each time, but now, I pay $50......do I really need his OBAMACARE to take care of my health?????? He is such a headaches' president of all time.... I feel annoyed by him so much! Vote him out of office along with his people in White House! Personally, I love OBAMA as a nice person, but I don't believe he can handle economy and run the USA in the right path! So, I must vote for Romney! I don't even know what Romney's business is, and I start to search Encyclopedia and I see has a lot of successes and experiences than OBAMA 85% times to run the country in the right path!

I like that - "Robin Hood politics". Exactly. And for all the wrong reasons.

THE AGE OF OHBUMMER, KING OF THE REPUBLIC OF LIES

OhBummer is a b00b and a fool for attacking the American Tea Partiers. Heck, he thought that he had all of us hoodwinked, hornswoggled, and bamboozled. He’s annoyed that the Tea Partiers are not grateful to him for hijacking the American healthcare system --- the greatest act of vandalism perpetrated upon the American people since a gang of jihadi frootloops and loonytoons hijacked some planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center towers --- and the Pentagon, and made a failed attempt to crash into the White House --- and instead drilled a hole in a Pennsylvania farm thanks to some very courageous American passengers.

And --- now widely seen for what he is --- the president presents a problem for the Democrat-captured media. They pump out his propaganda for him --- and, like the opinion monitors in Ayn Rand’s novel, “Atlas Shrugged” --- they are dodging brickbats and rotten vegetables.

He’s pompous, pampered, and pretentious --- a pseudo-intellectual fop. He’s a glorified, smooth-lyin’ dandy, and slicker than Sick Willie Clinton. He’s a dictator-on-the-make, a bloodsxcking, predatory humanitarian thug, and a low-down skunk.

He’s a fraud and a swindler. He lies when he inhales and he lies when he exhales; his oxygen is the falsification of reality. He lies, placidly and laconically, as if deception were a soporific drug.

He’s a friend of the poor and the downtrodden --- indeed, you can hear the milk of human kindness sloshing around inside of him when he walks.

He declares himself the post-racial leader --- “Let me be clear!” he intones --- and he hides behind his race, daring his critics to put their reputation for fairness at risk.

He pauses to ponder the portent of his propaganda --- and it is fakery; he smiles and his mendacity comes shining through. Shake hands with Barak Hushpuppy OhBummer --- “The Mistake of ‘08” --- the illegal alien squatter in the White House until his “papers” have been lab-tested for age and chemicals, etc --- the community organizer of the OhBummer Wrecking Crew, the more-fascist-than-socialist Fleabagger-in-Chief, the closet Muslim with the mix-and-match morality, the King of The Republic of Lies --- and America’s first and last Arab president. Now count your fingers.

It's heard more and more in serious circles that Obama is exhausted with this job and wants it to end. He doesn't really want another term. He's had it. The reality is that he can't take the responsibility, but it remains a problem for him to pretend to want to win. I believe this. His performances lately signal strongly that he is indeed tired and sick of it all. He just wants his millionaire celebrity retirement in Hawaii. Let's help him out.

His roast is coming on Nov. 6th, Michelle can cancel that party she's talking about, they are on their way out. We will roast Obama soon!

Guaranteed Success Strategy for Romney’s Monday Night ‘Foreign Policy’ Debate.

First of all, Monday night’s debate is not about foreign policy. It is about americans’ response to obama’s foreign policy decisions as well as his indecisiveness in times of approaching crises. It is also about obama’s lack of leadership (‘america will lead from behind’), outright sloppiness, and lack of transparency that followed EVERY foreign crisis over the course of the obama presidency .

Wrap your entire debate around the following points. DO NOT DEVIATE.
1. Obama’s foreign policy action or lack of action.
2. Outcry from concerned Americans.
3. Congressional Investigation.
4. PATTERN of failure over four years.

Identify the obama failure, white house lack of transparency, and how the cited failure in foreign policy is part of a four year pattern of complete foreign policy failure. Tie every obama foreign policy failure to another obama foreign policy failure.

For example:
2012 Benghazi:
American ambassador and three embassy assistants die from rebel fire and gunshots during attack by rebel forces.

Obama foreign policy action or lack of action:
Deaths were due to Obama administration failure to respond to at least three formal pleas for protection of American embassy in Libya over the previous six months.

Outcry from Concerned Americans:
Lack of transparency: misinformation, contradictory information.
Apparent Cover-up: UN ambassador rice and press secretary jay Carney interface with America. President Obama or secy of state Hillary Clinton fail to address the issue for seven full weeks.

Congressional Investigation:
Seek truth about incompetence of STATE DEPARTMENT and President Obama and reasons behind the lack of protection at the embassy.

Next, tie the Benghazi crisis to another Obama foreign policy crisis to show the PATTERN of obama foreign policy failures over four years. For example, the Mexican border massacre in December 2010.

Romney says: ‘THIS IS A PATTERN WE SEE AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. just a year ago, Americans were outraged by the murder of Agent Brian Terry, an American agent guarding our mexican border.

AND ONCE AGAIN, there was an Outcry from Concerned Americans. Just like the outcry following the deaths at the American embassy in Benghazi.

Americans learned that border agent brian terry was killed by gunfire from Mexican rebels. There were reports that the very bullets that killed Agent Brian Terry
were illegally shipped to Mexico by our own Justice Department.

AND ONCE AGAIN, there was a Congressional Investigation. Just like after the deaths in Libya.

Americans demanded answers just like they did after Libya.
This time it wasn’t Obama’s State Department like it was with the Benghazi slaughter.
The Justice Department is at the center of this mess. For almost one year, Obama’s Secretary of Justice eric holder refused to release documents critical to the congressional investigation. Mr. Holder tried to blow off the investigation with a thousand excuses. He even called the investigation ‘racist’….

like Libya, American’s turned to their president for an answer. But there were no answers. Just like Libya, there was incompetence on the part of the Obama administration. the cover-up that followed and the incompetence of the obama JUSTICE DEPARTMENT. ....once again, the public outcry for the facts forced congress to investigate.

Americans have lived with this PATTERN again and again and again.

NOTE 1: SEAL THE DEAL…..any time obama objects, circumvents, or denies a Romney comment, Romney response: ‘I’m just repeating the criticism that Americans made at the time of the (Libyan or Mexican or fort hood or ???? or ????? ) event. ‘
Suggested Romney comment: ‘tonite’s debate is as good a time as any to get an answer, mr president. …america’s still waiting.’

NOTE 2: PULL THE RUG OUT FROM UNDERNEATH OBAMA EACH TIME HE BRAGS ON THE DEATH OF BIN LADEN…..eg., ‘this should have been accomplished during your first two years – not the last two years to boost your re-election chances……..was it because your were so absorbed in pushing obamacare over the objection of most amerians??’

NOTE 3: Be discerning of advice from all tv and print journalists who may be well intentioned ….some have a very comprehensive understanding of foreign affairs during obama’s presidency. Surely far more knowledge than I have. Perfect for the war room and college textbooks.

However, this debate needs to ‘publicize’ the events of the failed obama foreign policy – not to document the minutiae before curious but busy, skeptical, entertainment-ready Americans.

NOTE 4: don’t shy away from events that may not fit the exact mold of foreign policy; don’t be afraid to color outside the lines….. for example, talk about fort hood….in the minds of most Americans, it is terrorism – a foreigner’s act of terror on American soil terrorism. And isn’t that the true point of debate? To answer questions that have never been answered for Americans.

Remind Americans of the headlines, the questions, the skepticism involved in the shady way that obama handled (failed to handle) EVERY foreign policy issue. ….—there were the usual unresolved concerns that Americans have.

NOTE 5: Obama will continually try to diminish the questions (not just your responses) you ask. Respond: ‘these are the questions that millions of Americans asked at the time this tragedy occurred. They are still waiting for answers’. I guarantee that every American will love you for making that statement.

NOTE 6: Be blunt when obama tries to pull you into areas you don’t belong. Obama will somehow try to draw you into DEFENDING YOUR HISTORY on foreign policy (I know that makes no sense but remember that liberals make no sense; obama has already implicated that Romney/Ryan is responsible for the tragedy in Libya. ) ….tell obama: ‘mr. president, I was not the president over the past four years. You were. Therefore, my thoughts on foreign policy were not enacted. You’re here to defend your decisions – not mine. I will start making presidential decisions when I enter office on January 20, inauguration day. ‘I am here to hold your feet to the fire over the events of the past four years. You are not here to hold my feet to the fire. ‘

NOTE 7: NEVER toy with obama. He will look for an opening, a lapse to turn the tables on you…..that is his entire campaign strategy - his only campaign strategy…eg. ‘make the other guy look bad cause I got nothin…absolutely nothin.’

NOTE 8: Rip obama to shreads on handing out billions in taxpayer dollars to countries and to dictators that would prefer to see every american die a painful death. Be specific on how these billions could be used to lower the debt.
Question the placement of american troops in so many countries overseas….some seem completely unnecessary….some troops have been in the same peaceful countries since the end of world war 2.

NOTE 9: Think before you answer the inevitable obama AND THE MODERATOR ‘gotcha’ questions and comments. Turn the question around and fling it back at obama or the moderator.

IF NECESSARY, TELL THE MODERATOR: ‘IT IS YOUR JOB TO CONTROL THE DEBATE – NOT TO CONTROL THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE. THIS DEBATE DOESN’T END UNTIL I GET DEBATE MINUTES EQUAL TO MR. OBAMA. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?’

If moderator persists, stop the debate, state your claim about the biased, belligerent moderator. THEN WALK OFF THE STAGE.

Don’t worry how the tv news nitwits or the newspapers respond to your defiance aimed at tricks played by the moderator or obama…..the liberal media will slam you and the conservative will ignore the nastiness/the ’gotcha-ness’ underneath the comment(s) and wait till they hear how the country responds…..they never know how to handle this kind of stuff…. they put together discussion panels that are equally clueless.

Remember, your job is to rescue this country. NOT to make the tv media nitwits happy.

Good luck on Monday Night.

Why do I get the feeling this whole transcript (including the laugh track) was done before the actual speech?

Of course...it's always about his self.

In “Audacity of Hope” Obama writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.

Is there any doubt that the political winds are shifting in an ugly direction, after what he did to Ambassador Stevens and his party.

If he would abandon Christianity this easily, do you think is a true Christian? If he would lie to you about his religion, would he lie to you about being a Socialist or a Communist? Would he hesitate to take away your freedom if the political winds shifted in the wrong direction?

I hope you will think long and hard before you vote for this individual.

I am still trying to find out why Michelle Obama was not at this dinner. Does anyone out there know anything. Had to be a pretty good reason or there would be a lot of discussion. Would be awfully rude otherwise.
