Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Wednesday he knows why NBC chose Chicago for the new prime-time series, "Chicago Fire."

After honoring the latest round of hero firefighters at Wednesday's City Council meeting, Emanuel said he had seen a preview of the new show and, "There's a reason they picked Chicago. It's a code of confidence and professionalism. I don't think it's an accident."

Emanuel's brother is Hollywood super-agent Ari Emanuel, whose larger-than-life persona was immortalized in the HBO series, "Entourage." Ari Emanuel's character was played by Evanston native Jeremy Piven.

That prompted Rahm Emanuel to turn to the hero firefighters seated in the VIP box and say, "If you need an agent in the future, I know somebody."
