Strippers in Tampa are hopeful they'll see a trickle-down effect from delegates in town for the Republican National Convention.

Some strip clubs have embraced the event by offering special deals for delegates, according to a report from the Tampa Bay Times. One club--Thee DollHouse--even has its wait staff wearing "patriotic Wonder Woman style outfits," wrote the paper.

Stories about strip clubs catering to delegates during conventions have pretty much become a staple in the media as it covers these highly orchestrated events, which is illustrated in this roundup of articles compiled by the Atlantic Wire.

The RNC hasn't exactly been bashful about nudity in the past. The organization spent $2,000 in 2010 at a West Hollywood S&M club that features "a net hung above the bar where topless performers - dressed in little more than masks and bikini bottoms - writhe above the heads of clubgoers," reported the New York Daily News.
