President Obama joked while stumping in Iowa on Monday that first lady Michelle Obama would not allow him to have a fried Twinkie if he hit the Iowa State Fair.
He seems to have adhered to his wife's wishes on the Twinkie front, but enjoyed a beer and pork chop dinner when he dropped in on the fair in a surprise visit Monday evening. More photos after the jump:

"Everyone who's over 21, you gotta buy a beer," Obama told the crowd at the Budweiser tent, prompting someone in the crowd to yell, "Is it on you?" The president looked into his wallet as some people in the crowd started chanting, "Four more beers!".
Working for re-election isn't all serious business for President Obama. He took some time to make a surprise visit to the Iowa State Fair on Monday - and to yuck it up with fair-goers.
