Journey paid big bucks for convention performance

It's almost impossible to ride a bicycle down Clark Street in Wrigleyville on a Saturday night and not hear Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" booming out of a bar.

And apparently the band is one of the Republican Party's favorite bands as well.

The band will reportedly get paid $500,000 to perform during the convention on Thursday night, reported E! News, citing an anonymous source.

But the source told E! News that the gig shouldn't be interrupted as an endorsement from the band.

Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Oak Ridge Boys, Trace Adkins and Lee Greenwood are also slated to perform at the convention.
