Canadian Tuxedo party
7 p.m. at Faith & Whiskey; free
Celebrate Canadian Independence Day (July 1) by dressing up in the classiest of Canadian attire (i.e. denim from head to toe). Drink specials include $1 Labatt Blue cans and $3 Canadian Club whiskey shots/drinks and a $100 cash prize will be awarded for the best “Canadian Tuxedo” costume. Sounds like a party, eh?

OakFest fireworks
159th and Central, Oak Forest; free

Kick off the weekend right by road tripping out to Oak Forest for this annual festival, which has an aerial display tonight and on July 4. Cindy Lauper
8:30 p.m. at House of Blues; $37.99–$43

Also, I kinda wanted the wrestling chick to win. Also, True Colors has been in my head all day. OK, I’ve said too much already …
