This guy's definitely entering. (photo via)

Back in middle school, we liked to get creative at the soda fountain, mixing together a little bit of every drink 'til we found just the right combination, which we called Skittles (original, right?).

We're guessing you'll need to put a little more thought into your entry for the first-ever Star of the Bar competition, a nationwide search for the country's most creative mixologist presented by the International Wine,Spirits & Beer Event at the National Restaurant Association show.

Think you've got what it takes? Submit a 90-second video of yourself preparing an original signature cocktail (utilizing at least one Bacardi product), plus a written recipe, by April 26. The six most creative, entertaining entrants (as voted on by users) will get to compete at the IWSB event on May 23 in Chicago, with the eventual winner getting his or her cocktail featured on both the Rockit Bar & Grill menu and in American Airlines American Way magazine. Oh yeah, and $5,000. That'll buy a heck of a lot of fountain drinks.
