Where to go for Free Comic Book Day

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Thanks to movies like "Iron Man" and "Kick Ass," interest in comic books has skyrocketed among the masses. For many people, though, comics are a way of life, and the independent stores they shop at depend on their repeat business. This weekend's Free Comic Book Day is a way to introduce the rest of us to the wonders of these stores -- and as the name implies, everyone gets a complimentary comic just for checking 'em out.

Curious? Check out the list of comics, then hit one of these participating Chicago stores on Saturday:

Brainstorm , 1648 W. North, (773) 384-8721
Vigilante Press, 1931 W. Chicago, (312) 423-6774
Graham Crackers Comics (Lincoln Park), 2562 N. Clark, (773) 665-2010
Chicago Comics, 3244 N. Clark, (773) 528-1983
Challengers, 1845 N. Western, (773) 278-0155
G-Mart Comics, 2641 N. Kedzie, (773) 384-0400
