Chicagoist is reporting that Phil Kuhl, better known as Sheffield's "Beer Dude" -- whom Centerstage profiled last year and local musician Darren Garvey recommended last week -- is leaving the Lakeview establishment for greener pastures.

Thankfully, he'll be keeping his beer-selecting talents in the city, as he's becoming the beer director for The Fountainhead, the Ayn Rand-inspired, brew-focused spot opening in the spring at 1968 W. Montrose.
