Did you know that today is Korean American Day? As it happens, January 13 was the day in 1903 that 102 Korean immigrants arrived in Hawaii (there are now almost two million Korean Americans, according to Korea Report).
If you missed the performances at Daley Plaza earlier this afternoon, here are a few ways you can commemorate the occasion:
- Grab some friends and grill meat over live coals. Chicago has a number of Korean BBQ places, with our favorites being San Soo Gab San and Hae Woon Dae
- Bi-bim bop 'til you drop at classic Korean spots like Noon Hour Grill or So Gong Dong Tofu House.
- Toast the melting-pot influence of America with a stop at one of Bill Kim's Korean-fusion restaurants, Urban Belly or Belly Shack.
- Cook your own Korean feast with ingredients from Super H Mart in Niles or Joong Boo Market.
- Sing your heart out at Lincoln Karaoke, Karaoke Restaurant.

I can see why you highlighted this film...It's the best one so far in my opinion.
