Local-art lovers, it's time to step up.

Around the Coyote, a standout in the Chicago art scene for the past couple decades, needs your financial assistance, as a recent email (and subsequent Time Out mini-interview) spells out.

Due to a number of issues both recession-related and not, ATC finds itself in significant debt. It hopes to remedy the problem with its Winter Fundraiser, taking place Saturday, December 19 from 6 p.m.-midnight in Wicker Park. The $30 event will feature "Two Can Play at That Game: A Festival of Duos, " a dance, music and video performance showcase at the Outdoor Gallery (1817 W. Division) and LiveBox Labs, site-specific installations in the Splat Flats (1815-25 W. Division), as well as a potluck dinner with free booze and desserts from Dairy Queen/Orange Julius.
