Music is the Weapon returns on Saturday

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

A few months back, we told you about the first installment of Music is the Weapon, a party benefiting local non-profit organizations at Between Boutique Cafe & Lounge. Well, DJ Limbs (aka Victor Carreon) is back for round two, which goes down Saturday from 9:30 p.m.-2:30 a.m. This month's non-profits are the Chicago Independent Radio Project (CHIRP), a media advocacy group, and Rumble Arts, a Humboldt Park community arts center. Each organization will get its own booth, a bottle of champagne and a chance to speak on the mic about its cause. At the end of the night, 15 percent of the bar's gross (plus any donations) will be split by the two groups.

Why should you go? In addition to helping out local organizations, you'll be entertained by DJ Limbs, DJ Dishwasha and DJ Aroc, who will spin hip-hop, dubstep, jungle and more.
