Eat like Obama at C-House's State Dinner

Last month, chef Marcus Samuelsson got a major honor when he was chosen to create and serve the meal for President Obama's first State Dinner on November 24. But he didn't do it alone; in addition to working with a team of White House chefs, Samuelsson brought along a couple of people from his Chicago restaurant, C-House: executive chef Nicole Pederson and pastry chef Toni Roberts.

While it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it doesn't mean the meal can't happen twice. Pederson and Roberts will recreate the special four-course menu on Wednesday, December 9 for $54 per person (add on wine pairings for $20 more). 1st Course

Potato and eggplant salad with arugula, onion seed vinaigrette

2nd Course
Red lentil soup with apples, fresh cheese

Entrée
Green curry prawns with caramelized salsify, smoked collard greens and coconut aged basmati

Dessert
Pumpkin pie tart & pear tarte tatin
