Michael Jackson Birthday Tribute
Friday at Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club
While everyone else has been busy honoring the King of Pop's death, Kit Kat takes a night to celebrate his birth and life. The evening will feature Kit Kat's "Diva" Traci Ross, performing as both Michael and Janet Jackson, along with special appearances by Michael's "friends" Liza Minnelli and Liz Taylor. Kit Kat's "Black & White" martinis are $5, and the first 50 guests will receive a limited edition Kit Kat/MJ sparkled glove.

Wanna take your MJ love to another level? Check out the Michael Jackson tribute show at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino (7 p.m. Saturday ; $20), or Purgatory Pizza/Park Ave.'s tribute party with the Carlton Bradley Dance Crew (9 p.m. Saturday; free entry if in MJ costume).

The Sexiest Legs of the Summer Contest
midnight Friday at Leg Room
We're in the heart of summer, so those legs ain't getting any sexier. Show everyone the best you got from ankle to thigh and you could walk home $300 richer. Guest judges include Derrick Tribbet (Sinister) and Brenden (Chi Chi), cast members from VH1 reality show "Daisy of Love" and Chicago native Tiffany Carmona from "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels." Drink specials for the night: $5 Absolut Martinis, $4 Absolut drinks and $4 Bacardi Dragonberry bombs starting at 10 p.m.

Bucktown Arts Fest
11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Senior Citizens Memorial Park, free
Fight the (gentrification) powers that be with a hearty roster of local bands, art, performances and local food. The event has drawn upwards of 30,000 people in recent years and is truly a grassroots event: It is put on completely by volunteers.

Viva! Chicago Latin Music Festival and Art Fair
Saturday and Sunday in Grant Park, free
Get your salsa (and merengue) on at this huge Latin music festival and dance party. Headlining acts include Colombian rockers Aterciopelados (Saturday) and Mexican crooner Lila Downs (Sunday).

Buckwheat Zydeco
8 p.m. Saturday at SPACE, $25-$30
You may not know the name Stanley Dural, but the man better known as Buckwheat Zydeco has almost singlehandedly brought the zydeco genre mainstream. His merging of rock and R&B to create a party-jam hybrid will get a perfect venue at Evanston's intimate SPACE stage. R&B pianist/vocalist Josh Charles opens.
