So, the schedule for this year's Pitchfork Music Festival (July 17-19 in Union Park) was released on Friday. But just because you now know when bands are playing, it doesn't mean you know what they sound like. And if you're gonna make the tough decisions (like The National vs. The Black Lips, for example), you'll need that key information, and it'll cost you a bundle to download all those bands on iTunes or eMusic.
The solution? Head to Fizz Bar & Grill this Friday, where from 8-10 p.m. Pitchfork, Flavorpill and AMI Entertainment are hosting a listening party with music from festival acts. The free party will also include giveaways of tickets, CDs, vinyl, downloads and other swag. We can't promise as many ironic t-shirts as you'll find at the fest next month, but it'll have to do for now.
