That's the message for all DJs in this year's Lollapalooza Last Band Standing Remix contest, who will be made to identify themselves as being from Chicago or, simply, "The World." The competition's open round began yesterday, and you have until June 25 to submit your best remix (10 minutes or less) to the judges and create your profile page to encourage voters. Twenty-five semifinalists in each division go on to the next round, and four DJs (two from each division) wil compete in the final live event at Double Door on August 5.

This means there's a pretty good chance a local will end up in the top two, earning an opening slot on Perry's stage at Lollapalooza. Want to be the one repping Chicago? Sign up. And since you won't be needing that four-night hotel stay that comes along with the prize, feel free to flip it our way.
