The Walrus and Walter Sobchak enjoy themselves at Lebowski Fest 2008.
Good news, dudes. Lebowski Fest, the spirited celebration of the Coen Brothers' cult classic film, "The Big Lebowski," is returning to Chicago in 2009 as part of its Speed of Sound Tour.
This year's bowling festivities will take place at Diversey River Bowl, September 14 and 15 (don't worry, you won't have to roll on Shabbos). Expect competitive trivia and costume contests, and, of course, plenty of White Russians.
The first night of the fest (September 13) features a special screening of the film at the Portage Theater, plus a party with special guests ("Lebowski" actors have been known to appear). Tickets are on sale now. What, you'd rather sit at home with pee stains on your rug?
