Eat this whole thing and watch your belly's circumference increase.

So tomorrow (March 14) is Pi Day. Don't pretend like you don't know why. MenuPages blog offers up a few tasty ways to celebrate (including one-day-only pies at Bleeding Heart Bakery), but they all fall on the sweet side of things. Are you really going to crave pastry after a few hours of green beer?

Here are some recommended ways to round out your Saturday, savory-style.

Irish Pies Are Smiling
As long as you're toasting the Emerald Isle, might as well continue the theme as you eat (your stomach will thank you). Hit up Cullen's, Ginger's or The Kerryman for some top-notch shepherd's pie, or go all-out with steak & Guinness pie at Pepper Canister or the new Firkin & Pheasant.

Don't Miss American Pie
Nothing says comfort like a good chicken pot pie, and you can find the classic dish all around the city. For a traditional version, try Jack's Bar & Grill or Valois Cafeteria. If you want to get crazy, Keefer's offering has seafood inside its crust, while Soul Vegetarian East's is animal-free.

Extra cheese, please
Of course, a list of pies in Chicago wouldn't be complete without the city's favorite circle: pizza. Now, everyone has a preference in terms of style and place, but there's one thing everybody can agree on: cheap is good. With that in mind, here are some Saturday pizza deals we found:

Allstar Sports Bar & Grill
$5 12-inch pizza and pint of Miller Lite

Crocodile
Buy a pint of beer, get a free pizza (limit one)

Mr. V's Pizza
Buy any 18-inch pizza and get a 12-inch free
