When you were watching the "Top Chef" finale, were you drooling uncontrollably over the luscious food being made? If so, you owe it to yourself to at least consider going to the Common Threads World Festival, happening March 23 at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The event lives up to its $250 price tag with appearances and food from dozens of world-renowned chefs, including plenty of Chicago-based talent. This year's list of distinguished guests includes Top Chef Chicago winner Stephanie Izard, Gale Gand (TRU), Graham Elliot Bowles (Graham Elliot), Mindy Segal (Hot Chocolate), John Besh, Tyler Florence, Ming Tsai and others. The Honorary Chair and Mistress of Ceremonies is none other than Gail Simmons, judge on "Top Chef."
Better bring a napkin to wipe up all that drool.
