Can't wait for the 8th Annual Chicago International Salsa Congress, February 12-15? You don't have to. The Old Town School of Folk Music (4544 N. Lincoln) hosts a dance preview tonight. Salsa DJs will spin as a mix of Chicago troupes take the stage. The event will be capped by award-winning dancers Griselle Ponce and Andy Cruz headlining the performance. 8:30-10:30 p.m., $5 suggested donation. Get tickets here.

Griselle Ponce will make you sweat.

There's plenty more salsa to come in the days before the weekend-long extravaganza of performances and classes at the Westin O'Hare, including the Mambo Allstars at Rumba (351 W. Hubbard) on Friday and Coco Restaurant & Lounge (2732 W. Division) on Saturday.
