Three for the show

Today's a free day at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Which is awesome. But there are some worthy events coming up at the MCA that'll require you to open your wallet. Stuff like:

First Fridays
6-10 p.m.; $15.
If you're looking for a date for Valentine's Day, you could do worse than checking out this monthly event. The crowd tends to include some of the most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes our city has to offer - so you'd better dress to impress. This Friday's installment is called Temptation; how can you resist?

The Wild Duck
Runs through Feburary 15; 7:30 p.m. Thursday; 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 2:30 & 7:30 p.m. Sunday; $32-$56
You've only got a couple more weekends to catch this Ibsen-penned show about an impoverished family's fantasy world. Centerstage's review says the cast is full of "vigor and generosity."

Five Days in March
February 20-22; 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 3 p.m. Sunday; $25
It's March 2003, and Japan is about to get involved in its first military conflict since World War II. Naturally, two young concert-goers decide to hole up in a Shibuya "love hotel" and fill the next five days with sex and drinking. Whether it's a conscious protest or not, you'll want to watch. And listen: it's performed in Japanese with English subtitles.
