ABC news is reporting in an exclusive story that Thomas Beatie -- the transgendered man born female who became known as the world's first "Pregnant Man" -- has given birth to a baby girl.
According to reports, the birth was natural and not a caesarean section according to rumored speculation.
Since his first exclusive appearance on the Oprah show and in People magazine, Beatie has drawn criticism from people across the globe over his pregnancy.
I say leave her/him alone. obviously if they wanted a baby that badly, they will make excellent parents. I hope they stop sharing their story though for the baby's sake.
This story irritates me because this 'man' is not a man when he was born a woman. She will always be a woman by birth regardless of what physical changes she decides to make to her body. The things that go on in this world are already confusing enough. The last thing my child needs is to hear stories stated incorrectly about men having babies.
I think this person was looking for only plain and simple publicity. first she changes her gender and then wants to give birth...what the hell????
Just another publicity stunt.

This is not the first "Pregnant Man" case. The Village Voice published an article about a transgendered male pregnancy as far back as 2000. The difference is that the other couple kept it a low key instead of turning it into a media circus. I think that was wiser and more responsible.

CONGRATULATIONS! I hope the baby and parents are happy and everyone is healthy. I can't wait to see pictures of the new addition. I guess ABC news has the exclusive and not Oprah.
I think this story has been SOO overhyped. A WOMAN got pregnant and has now had a baby. Big Whoop. It's been happening since the beginning of humankind. (He) is transgendered, okay, fine. (He) was born female with female reproductive organs.
Someone let me know when someone who was born fully male gets pregnant.
This is not a man. This is a women who was born a natural women/female with all female organs. Just because she decided somewhere down her life, to "assume" her life as a male, does not make her a man. Am I the only one who understands that this so called man is a female? I missed the Oprah on Thomas but of course, it is possible for the person to get pregnant, since the ovaries and uterus are intact.
