Viewers are gonna be able to get a little more up close and personal with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.
Harpo president Tim bennett -- citing recent partnerships with Internet calling phenom Skype -- announced Monday that Oprah's top-rated daytime show will go hi-definition come fall.
“We’re pleased to offer viewers their favorite daytime talk show -- the Oprah show -- in stunning HD beginning this fall,” Harpo president Tim Bennett said in a statement to Broadcasting & Cable. “From our cutting-edge production values to our recent partnership with Skype, Harpo is embracing new technologies to always deliver the highest-quality content for our viewers.”
Oprah's previous specials -- Building a Dream: The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy and The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special -- were produced in HD.



I've watched your show for years. You get blacker the longer you're on tv. Your endorsement of Sen Obama was out of line. And, I believe you endorsed him only because he's black. After all, there have been lots of candidates over the years and you've never had fund raisers for any of them.
Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but I resent that famous people use their fame to publicly endorse any ANY candidate. After all, my opinion is as important as yours and I don't have a world wide audience.
I won't be watching your show so much any more.
