Kickoff Times for Home Games Announced

2009 HOME FOOTBALL KICKOFFS

 

            NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The University of Notre Dame has announced kickoff times for its seven home football games for the 2009 season, as well as for the off-site home game in San Antonio:

           NBC Sports will televise all seven home games nationally from Notre Dame Stadium, as well as the Washington State game from the Alamodome in San Antonio (that contest will appear in prime time)

Michigan State (40th appearance at Notre Dame, 29th at Notre Dame Stadium), USC (37th at Notre Dame, all at Notre Dame Stadium), Boston College (11th at Notre Dame, all at Notre Dame Stadium) and Navy (31st at Notre Dame, all at Notre Dame Stadium) all last played at Notre Dame in 2007.

Washington will be making its first trip to South Bend since 2004, for its eighth all-time game against the Irish, its fourth in South Bend. Notre Dame will be meeting both Nevada and Connecticut for the first time. The Irish and Washington State will be meeting for the second time - following a 2003 contest at Notre Dame Stadium.

Seven of the '09 Notre Dame opponents played in postseason bowl games following the 2008 season - Nevada (Humanitarian Bowl), Michigan State (Capital One Bowl), USC (won Rose Bowl), Boston College (Music City Bowl), Navy (EagleBank  Bowl), Pittsburgh (Sun Bowl) and Connecticut (won International Bowl).

Please note that South Bend observes Eastern time (including DST) all year around. In 2009, daylight time ends and standard time begins on Nov. 1.
