Charlie Weis said during his Tuesday press conference that tackle Paul Duncan and fullback/linebacker Luke Schmidt will not play against Washington on Saturday. Receiver David Grimes is doubtful.
Duncan underwent surgery Tuesday to repair cartilage in his hip and will be out for the season. Schmidt is still recovering from concussion-like symptoms while Grimes will likely not play because of nagging back spasms.
Weis said that Grimes, who has 21 catches on the season for 182 yards and two touchdowns, won't return to the field until the spasms have subsided.
"Until they go away, he'll be a lesser player than those guys behind him," Weis said.
I will post the entire press conference transcript as soon as it is available.
