Tavaras Hardy leaves Northwestern for Georgetown

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Northwestern assistant basketball coach Tavaras Hardy is leaving the university to join the Georgetown basketball staff, the Hoyas announced on Thursday. Hardy, who played at Northwestern from 1998-2002, was a key component to the Wildcats recruiting efforts.

The move was somewhat unexpected after newly hired Northwestern coach Chris Collins elected to retain Hardy as an assistant. Hardy spent seven seasons with the Wildcats.

As a player for Northwester, Hardy twice garnered All-Big 10 honors and ranks second in school history in games played.
