'Cats survive sweltering atmosphere in Carrier Dome

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

The Carrier Dome is named after an air conditioning and heating company but it's not air conditioned, which can turn the Syracuse's home field into a sauna. The temperature was 68 degrees two hours before the game but had soared to 82 at kickoff and 95 at halftime and remained that temperature for the rest of the game.

"We didn't have one single cramp," coach Pat Fitzgerald said. "Not one guy. That talks to our athletic training staff."
