Northwestern's Bill Carmody nets huge catch in Jaren Sina

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Northwestern men's basketball coach Bill Carmody netted perhaps one of his biggest recruits last week, when star point guard Jaren Sina committed to the Wildcats out of Gill St. Bernard in New Jersey. But interestingly, after the 6-2 Sina announced his committment to the Wildcats, his stock dropped from four stars to three on Rivals.com and on Scout.com. From what I've heard, though, Sina's ranking going down a peg was just a coincidence and not indicative of Sina committing to NU.

Sina, a rising senior, reopened his recruitment in October and decommitted from Alabama and he is the first top-100 recruit Carmody has snagged in the coach's 13-year career in Evanston.
