A day after Northwestern upset No. 9 Nebraska 28-25 in Lincoln, Neb., Wildcats wide receiver Jeremy Ebert was named the Walter Camp National Player of the Week on Sunday.
Ebert, who surpassed the 2,000-yard mark in career
receiving yardage against the Cornhuskers, earned the Walter Camp award after
catching six passes for 147 yards and a touchdown. Ebert's 81-yard touchdown
catch was the Wildcats' second-longest pass play in school history. The
Nebraska victory was the Wildcats' second in a row.
