Army
did exactly what Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald was afraid of: they
controlled the time of possession for most of the first quarter Saturday at
West Point.
The Black Knights had their longest drive of the season (in terms of plays and time), when quarterback Trent Steelman marched Army downfield and scored on a 17-yard run with 3:49 to play in the first quarter. Army's scoring drive was 18 plays on 81 yards over 8:48.
