It became official around 12:45 Saturday afternoon that Northwestern forward John Shurna was not cleared to play against No. 1 Ohio State at Welsh-Ryan Arena after suffering a concussion Wednesday night at Minnesota. Not too much of a shocker there, since coach Bill Carmody said on Friday that Shurna's status had improved but that he most likely wasn't symptom free.
