Dan Persa earns an honor

The day after NU quarterback Dan Persa ruptured the Achilles tendon in his right foot, shutting him down for the rest of the season, the junior learned some bittersweet news. On Sunday Persa was named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week for his showing in the Wildcats' 21-17 upset over No. 13 Iowa Saturday at Ryan Field.

And next week's game at Wrigley just got another shot in the arm. Sunday ESPN announced that "College Gameday" is going to broadcast from the Friendly Confines.
