Coach Pat Fitzgerald said injured quarterback Dan Persa is
in good spirits following surgery Saturday night to repair a ruptured Achilles
tendon in his right foot.
"Dan's mood is great right now," Fitzgerald said. "After
surgery the pain medication wore off and he is sore, which is to be expected."
