Northwestern quarterback Dan Persa is close to being given the all clear to play Saturday at Penn State after the junior suffered a concussion during the Wildcats' 20-17 win at Indiana last week.
Coach Pat Fitzgerald said Persa has been symptom free since Sunday but still has to undergo some concussion tests that the university mandates. Persa said Monday that he feels good and should be able to play in his home state of Pennsylvania.
