Man with knife stabs himself outside 'Today Show'

A section of Rockefeller Plaza outside the 'Today Show' was shut down this morning as a man wielding a knife threatened to stab himself.

Security was able to subdue the man but not before he was apparently able to harm himself.

Matt Lauer addressed the situation on the show saying, "He was controlled by our security team out there. However, he did harm himself in some way, so he's now being attended to by medical personnel."
