BNSF Metra trains were delayed Tuesday evening because of a switching problem in the western suburbs.

BNSF trains into Chicago are delayed 10 to 30 minutes because of a switching problem near Berwyn, Metra said.

Additionally, outbound train No. 1277 was scheduled to depart Chicago at 5:45 p.m. but is delayed because of late arrival of equipment, Metra said. The length of the delay is unknown.
