Marquette Park's Johnny from the Block

Did you know John C. Reilly, actor/comedian/faux rock star back in the day — when he was just John from Marquette Park?

Well, JCR returned to Chicago for a concert at the Cubbie Bear in Wrigleyville promoting his new movie, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and our intrepid pop culture writer Mike Thomas was there.

I've seen JCR at numerous White Sox games, so he's alright in my book.

What's up with his Southern accent? No way people from Marquette Park talk like they're from Tennessee.
