That's a look inside the tomb of U.S. Sen. Stephen A. Douglas, who died in 1861 and was best known for his campaign against Abraham Lincoln. The marble crypt built in 1881 is inside a 96-foot-tall granite monument at 35th and Cottage Grove in Bronzeville.
