What began as four canceled shows to heal some inflamed joints has now turned into the cancellation of the remainder of Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball Tour.
On Tuesday, concert promoter Live Nation announced that both Lady Gaga performances scheduled this week, Feb. 13 and 14 at the United Center, as well as two other regional dates were to be postponed.
Wednesday evening, Live Nation announced the cancellation of the remaining 21 dates scheduled through March 20.
The reason given for the original postponement was "a case of synovitis (severe inflammation of joints)."
But now Wednesday's statement says:
After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal.
"I am completely devastated and heartsick," Lady Gaga said in a statement Tuesday. "I've been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night's performance I could not walk."
Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14.

Sorry to hear about her injury but she should have been more sympathetic and understanding of others like my disabled daughter who suffers from chronic neuropathic pain and also cannot walk. The Sunshine Foundation was trying for two years to grant my daughter's dream of meeting Lady GAGA and there was absolutely no response from her or her staff.
Sorry about your daughter but Gaga has done 119 shows in 10 months. This would have been my daughters second time seeing her and she had floor this time. Yes she is sad but knows how it is from a performers side.
Um, yeah sorry your daughter is ill but there are thousands of Gaga fans with terminal illnesses that I'm sure would love to meet her, and she obviously can't meet all of them...nor does it change the fact her hip exploded. Entitlement much?
I wish the best for your daughter but how can you blame her and expect her or anyone to simply honor a request based on her condition. That comes off a little harsh. There are so many people out there with certain conditions or who are sick that would probably love to meet her too.
Just like there are many sick Catholics who would love to meet the pope, he is one human and can't possibly meet with the millions and millions who want to spend a few minutes wih him. You should probably respect that Lady Gaga and others are humans also and can only do so much.. Even with their high status.
Nobody is obligated to meet your daughter.

You all are very sad...I surely hope you never get a terminal illness or become disabled to know what its like. There is NO entitlement here. None...it is wishing those that can't speak for themselves or live a life like you have the dream of something. Sometimes granting that dream is for something small or big like Lady Gaga. The sad part is that society has become so harsh and so unsympathetic they see it as entitlement versus someone not obviously as blessed as you to have everything you need or want...which by the way includes walking, talking, eating and going to the bathroom. Shame on you all...glad you have such a perfect life.
I work with children who have disabilities everyday and it sucks that they cannot live the way that the rest of us do but what did you expect Lady Gaga to do? Keep performing until she cannot walk either just so your daughter can see her? I was looking forward to seeing her perform as well but sometimes we don't as get what we want regardless of whether or not we have a disability. One of the biggest ideas that we push at my job is that everyone is equal, including people who have disabilities so yeah, expecting Lady Gaga to perform just because your daughter is disabled is acting like she is entitled to something that (as was said before) several people with disabilities as well as others were looking forward to just because she has a disability. As her parent you should be finding ways to make her feel happy and included every day and trying to find a new way for her to achieve her dream rather than sitting on the internet complaining. Everyone has dreams and sometimes things get in the way of them; "obstacles are there to show you how badly you want something". So you, like the rest of us, will just have to sit and watch to see when Lady Gaga is going to perform again and try and get tickets.
(P.s. please get off your high horse)
Screw the tour dates! OMG i hope Mother Monster gets better..... love her so much...
Oh please, get over yourself. You want to make your daughters wish come true?! SAVE YOUR MONEY. It may take years but by god be a mother. Dont expect other people to give you some kind of pitty party.
I feel soooo bad for you I hope you get better
