Pearl Jam to play Wrigley Field July 19

Another summer show at Wrigley Field has been announced: Pearl Jam on July 19.

Rumors about a show began circulating Tuesday on Twitter. Wednesday morning, Pearl Jam confirmed the information in that medium, tweeting, "IT'S OFFICIAL: Pearl Jam will be playing at Wrigley Field."

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 9 at tickets.com or by calling 1-800-THE-CUBS. Tickets will not be available at the Wrigley Field Box Office.

PJ singer and Evanston native Eddie Vedder is a die-hard Cubs fan. He's thrown out his share of first pitches and sung more than a few seventh-inning stretches, not to mention writing his own Cubs tribute song, "All the Way."

Already online some fans are hoping for a second show to be added, but there's at least one obstacle: country star Jason Aldean already announced a Wrigley show for July 20.

The Wrigley show is one of two ballpark concerts Pearl Jam announced Wednesday. The other is July 16 at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario.
