iPod selections for the Queen

| 8 Comments | No TrackBacks

The iPod President Obama gave Queen Elizabeth reportedly was heavy on Broadway show tunes. We thought we'd offer some rock alternatives:

1. "God Save the Queen" by the Sex Pistols. No, the greatest of all punk anthems wasn't an insult! We mean it, man!

2. "Killer Queen" by Queen. Guaranteed to blow your mind, your majesty.

3. "Rock Star" by Prima J. "Tell me what you think you're lookin' at / So I think I'm Queen Elizabeth."

4. "Kings and Queens" by Aerosmith. Didn't Steven Tyler go to kindergarten with you, your highness?

5. "Feel Good Hit of the Summer" by Queens of the Stone Age. Just in time for the coming season!

G20/London visit

I think it would be nicer to give neutral gifts that both the Queen and husband can enjoy and not things that would give the impression that they are the president's personal preference. My husband gave me a lovely and elaborate make-up handbag from France. However, I wear very little make-up. I asked him if he wanted to see me wearing more make-up? He said, no. What was the point? Is it a gender thing or did some genius at the White House think/assume we need to move world leaders into the tech age. Oh well. Other than that, the G20/London visit is looking pretty good. And Lady Michelle is looking super on all fronts.

Leave it to you, to make another snide remark about a classic rock band. You'll get old someday too, and of course the smarmy comment about Steven Tyler being old. What an ass you are!

The Queen is more into technology than Prince Charles. Giving her an iPod was not moving her into the tech age.

Maybe you'd like to keep her locked up in a tower with no cell phone?

What, no "Kings and Queens" by the Brought Low? Or "Her Majesty" by the Beatles?

Oh, and Mike L. -- chill the hell out, dude. Steven Tyler may be old, but so's Dylan. The difference is, one of them is a good artist.

Or how about "God Killed the Queen" by Louis XIV. Great song!

I don't think that "Feel Good Hit Of The Summer" would be a good song for the Queen of England, considering the song's lyrics are "Nicotine, Valium, Vicodin, Marijuana, Ecstasy and Alcohol, C-c-c-c-c-cocaine!"

Let me guess Brendan who you think the "good" artist is, Dylan?
Please. I never understood the attraction to Dylan. He sings like he has crap in hi mouth. Ewwww everyone must get stoned!
