was liljims made before or after his dad was clipped, did the feds know who clipped him,and why didnt they put that out there earlier
,was lil jim on the crew that took revenge ,if the feds knew all of this why didnt they lock the outfit up, seems like they work together,i know they do in ny&philly, you know mob cops, mob fbi agents, good and bad do go together
STEVE WARMBIR RESPONDS: You ask several questions. James Marcello was not made at the time of his father's death, according to court testimony.
I don't know if the feds know the details of who killed Sam Marcello's attacker.
Given that the feds have just convicted James Marcello at trial and are going to put him away for the rest of his life, I think it's a stretch to suggest that Marcello and the feds were working together.
If so, that turned out to be a bad deal for Marcello.
Examples of police agencies and organized crime organizations scratching each other's backs abound.
But, the only time I've ever heard of a Federal agency working WITH a gang is in the case of the Irish Mob, the Winter Hill Gang, out in Boston (OK, the whole weird CIA-Mafia-Castro thing, notwithstanding).
Boston FBI agents J. Morris & J. Connolly gave Whitey Bulger & his organization carte blanche to do whatever they wanted, as long as it was at the expense of Boston's LCN. Obviously, the whole arrangement came crashing down, and I think Connolly is on trial for his complicity in a mob murder. First degree charges, if I'm not mistaken.
After that whole thing, I highly doubt the FBI works WITH the mob in any capacity anywhere in the country. And even before that, it would be hard to imagine.
