Steve, does the Cosa Nostra in Italy have any bearing on the Chicago Outfit?
Sure the movies are exaggerated but that Italian author had to be under protection when he came forward with his book, documenting the brutality of the Italian mob.
But in that news story, you've posted, there's the repeated mentioning of a commission and the boss of all bosses. We read this before about an American commission, though weakly documented.
The rumor was that Gotti in New York was the bosses of all bosses. I know you're fair and objective, but is there any evidence of a structure existing like that in America still?
Is there a connection between Italy and America? Any connection between Chicago Outfit and Italy?

I posted the article on the Italian mob simply as a matter of interest.
There's the rare new story when a mob fugitive from Italy is found hiding out in the Chicago, but that's about it these days.
