Calabrese and Doyle chat in prison, Part II
Anthony "Twan" Doyle, Michael Ricci, Frank Calabrese Sr.
Anthony Doyle this week tried to explain away portions of the above conversation he had with Frank Calabrese Sr. when he and a former Chicago homicide detective, Michael Ricci, visited the reputed Outfit killer in prison on Feb. 19, 1999.
Doyle, Calabrese Sr. and Ricci are talking in a visiting room about Calabrese Sr.'s current obsession:
Whether his brother, Outfit killer, Nicholas Calabrese, is cooperating with the feds.
Calabrese Sr. refers in code to his brother Nick as "the sister."
Doyle suggests electric shock treatment for "the sister" but insisted in court testimony that he wasn't suggesting that Nick Calabrese be hurt.
Doyle said he really was suggesting shock treatment. He said he read a magazine article about it.
Frank Calabrese Sr. suggests sticking a prod up his brother's backside.
Doyle appears to agree but in court he stressed he wasn't talking about hurting Nick Calabrese

Will That piece of work Doyal lose his CPD pension if he is convicted {and his retirement badge)?
I realise Mrs. Ricci will collect her dead husbands because he was never convicted.
STEVE WARMBIR RESPONDS: It will be up to a pension board to make that decision.
In general, you lose your pension if you committed a crime while on duty.
Doyle allegedly looked up information about a piece of evidence in a mob hit and passed it along to mobster Frank Calabrese Sr., so he is in danger of losing his pension.

OK, THIS TAPE IS VERY CLEAR. BUT AFTER I HEARD IT I SAID TO MYSELF, HUH? DOES THE JURY LOOK BAFFLED TOO? I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT WOULD BE ALOT OF CODE TO REMEMBER. IT'S LIKE WATCHING A BASEBALL COACH GIVE A SIGN.

I put only a few examples on the blog. Keep in the mind the jury has heard a lot of them by now, and once you've heard so many, they are easier to understand.

How does a highly decorated veteran active Chicago cop expect to visit a reputed long standing street capo in the Chicago Outfit at a federal penitentiary, and for %@*! NOT to hit the fan?
Could Doyle legitmately be that dumb? Yes, I know he's irish. But seriously, its like walking on fire, and expecting to NOT get burned.
YO TWAN! Frank is wiseguy. You're a copper. Doesnt look good to visit em in jail.

Will the jury be provided the "Calabrese to English" dictionary that Doyle referred to during Funk's cross?
STEVE WARMBIR RESPONDS: It looks like the jury will be getting a "cheat sheet" listing the code names and the real names they refer to - at least according to the prosecution.

Steve has anyone noticed that Frnak Calabrese taped conversation
regarding the Ortiz/Marowski homicide does not match the evidence.
He relates that the semi auto shotguns were loaded with 4 and one in the chamber meaining 5 rounds and states that the shooters emptied their guns into the victims.
If this were true that would
mean ten rounds were fired when in fact 7 were fired and one live round was left behind on the the drivers rear window totaling 8
rounds and seven fired.
Did'nt Frank also relate that the guns worked flawlessly if so why the live round on the window sill?
and could a semi auto shotgun have placed it their.
I think not, also no need to reload with ten rounds loaded so the argument of it being dropped to reload is out.
