So I'm in the middle of an air strip with a group of journalists and I have to ask Barack Obama the "Uncle Tom" question? I could hardly get the words out. What's worse, why is it that some black folks love to act a fool in front of white folks?
Allegedly llinois Senate president Emil Jones called Del Marie Cobb, a Clinton delegate, an "Uncle Tom." After denying he said it, Jones gave Cobb a half-assed apology. Besides doing nothing to foster unity, the dispute made the Illinois pols look silly. I blame Jones for making the comment, and Del Marie for holding a press conference to complain about it. If black conservatives held a press conference every time a Democrat called one of them an "Uncle Tom," we'd be seeing press conferences 24/7.
